Paper Review Process :
Initial Screening
- Submitted papers undergo an initial check for scope, originality, and formatting compliance.
- Papers outside the conference scope or failing to meet IEEE format requirements may be desk-rejected.
Peer Review Process
- Number of Reviewers: Each paper is typically reviewed by at least two independent reviewers. High-impact conferences may assign three reviewers.
- Review Type: Most IEEE conferences use a single-blind review process—reviewers know the authors' identities, but authors do not know the reviewers.
- Review Criteria:
- Originality: Novelty of the research or application.
- Technical Merit: Soundness of methodology, analysis, and results.
- Relevance: Alignment with the conference theme (e.g., sustainable innovations in electrical and electronics engineering).
- Clarity: Quality of writing, structure, and presentation.
- Impact: Contribution to the field, including practical or theoretical implications.
- References: Adequate citation of prior work.
- Reviewers provide detailed feedback, including recommendations for acceptance, revision, or rejection.
Revision and Resubmission
- If reviewers recommend revisions, authors may be given a short period (e.g., 15 days) to submit a revised manuscript addressing feedback.
- Revised papers may undergo a second round of review to ensure improvements meet expectations.
Final Decision
- The technical program committee makes the final decision based on reviewer recommendations.
- Decisions include:
- Accept: Paper meets all criteria and is ready for publication.
- Conditional Accept: Minor revisions required before final acceptance.
- Reject: Paper does not meet quality, originality, or scope requirements.
- Authors are notified of the outcome, typically within 1–2 months of submission.
